What started it all
So, when did this camper van idea take off? It had to do with Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival 2019 ...I aced Rule No.1 of Bonnaroo: Prepare Thyself. I genuinely loved the whole process of prepping my sweet glamping setup (I’ll share some pix; stay tuned). But the ephemeral nature of it did suck. And not just because I never wanted Bonnaroo to end! I felt like so much energy went into something that I then just zipped up. I wanted to be able to access this personal space on a whim. I remember doing a dumbed down backyard version of my Roo setup with my daughter when I returned and feeling cheated. So many of the details and ambient things were packed away and not worth bringing out for just one night. Instead, with a camper van, I could grow upon these efforts. I could continue to refine my yummy space instead of starting all over each time. I fell madly in love with this idea of having a camper van that evolves with me and becomes storied. I keep imagining all the beautiful sunrises and sunsets we’ll enjoy together. All the mountains, deserts, lakes, oceans, major cities and tiny towns we can roll through. The more and more I explore going down this road the more and more excited I continue to get. For Bonnaroo 2020 I’ll probably still enjoy sleeping in The Grove 😍 but at least I’ll be getting fancy standing fully upright in my glamper with full-length mirror rather than crouching in my tent 😆Yes!!!!! 🎀✨ I’m working towards a maiden voyage in March 2020 for @okeechobeefest and from there the possibilities are endless :)
